Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Day -Intradepartmental Elocution and Art Competition on 27 July 2026

The Department of Physics, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, organized an Intradepartmental Elocution and Art Competition on 27 July 2026 at 2.25 p.m. in the VM Block to commemorate Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Day. A total of 20 students actively participated in the event. The competition included English Elocution on the topic "My Dream India – Inspired by Dr. Kalam," Tamil Elocution on "அறிவியலும் தொழில்நுட்பமும் இந்தியாவின் எதிர்காலம்," and a Painting Competition on the theme "My Dream of India." The participants delivered inspiring speeches and presented creative paintings reflecting Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's vision for a developed India. The programme encouraged students to improve their communication skills, creativity, confidence, and patriotism. The event concluded successfully with the appreciation of all the participants, and the winners were congratulated for their excellent performance.

Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi in collaboration with Vienstereoptic, Thoothukudi organized a two-day workshop on “System Doctor: Hardware Repair, Maintenance and Networking” on 25th and 26th September 2025 at Dr. A. L. Mudhaliar Hall. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical knowledge in computer hardware servicing, system maintenance, and networking.
