Energy Conservation Day 12.12.2024

A Special lecture was conducted by the Department of Physics in association with Institution’s Innovation Cell (IIC) on the topic, " Powering the Future: The Importance of Energy Conservation " on 12.12.2024. Sixty students took part in the program enthusiastically. Dr. N. Booma Devi, Assistant Professor of Physics, Sri Saradha College for Women, Tirunelveli acted as resource person. She addressed key topics including, the importance of conserving energy to combat climate change and the role of renewable energy in reducing dependency on non-renewable resources. The session was highly interactive, with the audience posing insightful questions about the challenges and opportunities in adopting sustainable practices. The special lecture successfully achieved its objective of fostering awareness and encouraging proactive steps toward a greener future. At the end of the session, students shared their feedbacks and clarified their doubts with the resource person. Dr. R. Suya Padhra Haridha, Head of the Department convened the program with the support of department members.
