Two days interdepartmental Workshop Android mobile phone troubleshooting and servicing 07.01.2025 & 08.01.2025
The inaugural function for the Two days Interdepartmental Workshop on “ANDROID MOBILE PHONE TROUBLESHOOTING AND SERVICING” was started on 07.01.2025 at 10.00 A.M. in Dr. A. L. Mudaliar Hall, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi. The program began by seeking the blessing of Lord Almighty with a Prayer Song followed by Tamil Thai Vaazhthu.
Convenor of the program Dr. R. Suya Padhra Haridha, Assistant Professor and Head of the Physics department welcomed the gathering. In her welcome address she portrayed the scope and objectives of the workshop cum hands-on training and oriented about the scope of the program by highlighting the significance of the mobile phone and its usage in this modern world. Following the inauguration ceremony a power Point presentation session was started and hands-on training was given to the participants at APCM Physics Laboratories as two batches with three trainers.
The event aimed to equip participants with practical skills and technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Android mobile phones effectively. With a blend of theoretical instruction and practical application, the program focused on bridging the gap between understanding and execution in mobile servicing, fostering both professional growth and self-reliance. The workshop covered a range of essential topics, including an introduction to Android operating systems and hardware architecture, identification and resolution of common hardware issues such as battery and screen malfunctions, and software troubleshooting techniques like addressing app crashes, system updates, and malware removal. Participants were introduced to diagnostic tools and their applications, along with best practices for data recovery and mobile security. Additionally, insights were shared on entrepreneurial opportunities in the mobile servicing sector, offering guidance to those aspiring to start their own ventures.
The event saw participation of 104 students, from various departments to enhance their technical proficiency. Activities included expert-led lectures, live demonstrations of troubleshooting techniques, hands-on training sessions with real devices under supervision, and interactive Q&A discussions. These sessions allowed participants to gain practical experience and solutions tailored to real-world scenarios. The workshop outcomes were highly encouraging. Participants reported improved technical proficiency in mobile troubleshooting, a deeper understanding of Android architecture and repair tools, and increased confidence in handling real-world servicing challenges. The program also enhanced employability and entrepreneurial prospects by providing both skills and insights essential for the industry. Feedback from attendees highlighted satisfaction with the program’s content, structure, and emphasis on practical training.
The Valedictory function of the workshop was started at 2.30 P.M in Dr. A. L. Mudaliar Hall, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi. The Valedictory address was given by Dr. R. Suya Padhra Haridha, Assistant Professor and Head of the Physics department. Dr. K. Subbulakshmi, Principal, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi felicitated the gathering and honoured the Chief Guest Mr. B. Krishnakumar, Founder/CEO, New Technology Institutions, Coimbatore with a memento and following to it chief guest addresses the gathering. Some of the participants presented their oral feedback. The participants were given the certificate of participation. Program Coordinators Mrs. S. Sudha and Mrs. P. Saraswathi, Assistant Professor of Physics extend her heartfelt gratitude to the resource persons, the organizing team, and all participants for making this event a resounding success. The program ends with the National Anthem.
