The Department of Physics organized an educational outreach programme for the Class 12 students of Prasanna Matriculation School on 06.01.2026. The main objective of the program is to create awareness about the scope and importance of Physics and motivating students to pursue higher studies and careers in the field. The program aimed to help students understand how Physics plays a vital role in science, technology, and everyday life. The program began with a motivational talk given by Dr. N. Rathna, Assistant Professor of Physics of the college. She focusing on reducing students’ fear of Physics and encouraging them to develop a positive attitude toward the subject. The importance of conceptual understanding, logical thinking, and curiosity in learning Physics was emphasized. In commemoration of National Energy Conservation Day, the Department of Physics in association with Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL)organized Special Lecture and Interdepartmental Competitions on the theme “Energy Conservation for a Sustainable and Net Zero Future” on 18th December 2025 at 10.00 A.M.
